It seems that although I thought my path was to move back up north to my hometown, it is not meant to be for now. Rather than dwell on what I don’t have or what I don’t like about being here in Florida, I need to look at my blessings, and living in Florida is one of those blessings.
So once a week I will be posting about some aspect of living here in the Sunshine State that I love. And there are many things to love.
8/28/10 ~ I love the distant rumble of thunder on a summer evening. After the heat and glaring sun of the day, it’s nice to snuggle under a light blanket in the evening listening to the rolling sound of muffled thunder. It’s a peaceful way to bring the day to a close.

Awwww, I didn’t see this before! One of my best memories of Florida was sitting with you on the beach at night. The moon and one single cloud hovering over it watched us as we sat watching that cloud and listening to the waves on that warm summer night. And then, that cloud surprised us with a lightening show and a kiss of rain.
